He’s 110 and Still Cracking Jokes: Burdett Sisler Celebrates Milestone Birthday Near Niagara Falls

What do you say to someone who’s seen two world wars, the moon landing, and every fashion trend from fedoras to fanny packs? You say: Happy 110th, Burdett Sisler!

Over the weekend, 250 friends, family members, and well-wishers gathered near Niagara Falls to celebrate Burdett Sisler’s 110th birthday — and the man of the hour was as sharp and spirited as ever.

Born in Ohio in 1914, Burdett moved to Canada when he was just three years old. Over a century later, he’s still going strong, delivering laughs and wisdom in equal measure. When he turned 105, he set a bold new goal: make it to 110. Mission accomplished.

Now?

“I’m shooting for 115,” he said, with a wink.

His secret to a long life? The classic stuff — and a little old-school charm.

“I never smoked, and I was never a big drinker,” he told a reporter last year. “I can only remember being drunk once, and that was enough.”

As for what he wants younger generations — basically, everyone — to know, his advice is timeless:

“Treat people the way you’d like to be treated.”

That’s the Golden Rule, from a man who’s had 110 years to test it out. And considering the massive turnout at his party, it’s clearly working.

So here’s to Burdett Sisler: living proof that kindness, clean living, and a good sense of humor might just be the ultimate age-defying formula. We’ll check back in at 115, Burdett — and something tells us you’ll still be cracking jokes.
