Luke Combs Teases Two New Songs at His Nashville Bar — “This Might Be Really Bad,” He Joked

Country hitmaker Luke Combs gave a lucky Nashville crowd a sneak peek at what could be his next big radio bangers — even if he wasn’t totally sure how it would go down.

The “Fast Car” singer recently took the stage at his new bar in downtown Nashville, armed with just a guitar and a grin, to debut two brand-new songs he’s been workshopping. But before strumming a single chord, he gave the crowd a humble (and hilarious) disclaimer:

“This might be really bad, man. I was messing with this in the green room and it’s hard to kind of sing it . . . I’ll just play a little verse [and] chorus. See what you think of it.”

Spoiler alert: it wasn’t bad. At all.

The crowd — and the internet — loved every second of it. Fans immediately started sharing clips from the performance, praising the raw emotion and storytelling in the unreleased tracks. The songs sounded polished, heartfelt, and unmistakably Luke — even if he was just winging it between drinks and bar lights.

According to Luke, he’s sitting on a treasure chest of around 50 songs as he narrows down the final tracklist for his next album. No official release date has been dropped yet, but based on the reactions to these live previews, fans are already hungry for more.

And honestly, if this is Luke Combs’ idea of “bad,” the rest of us should probably just put the mic down and walk away.

Whether you caught it live at the bar or in viral clips online, one thing’s for sure — Luke’s next era is coming in hot, and if these songs are any indication, he’s about to drop another honky-tonk heartbreak classic.
